Original watercolor and ink drawing by Rolf Kroll of a beautiful landscape with palm trees and mountains. Signed by the artist in fine black ink on front. Drawing is mounted on a gray matboard over which is a white matboard. White matboard has two hand-drawn, decorative lines done in ink or watercolor. Windows are cut out on each matboard to show the drawing. No date, circa 1971 or 1991 ("71" or "91" after artist's signature). Drawing visible through matboard windows: 6 3/4" x 9 1/4," portrait orientation. Outermost white matboard: 14" x 18." Drawing is virtually pristine and intact except for a few microscopic marks which may be original. Matboards are very clean and intact overall. White matboard has light rubbing, a few faint smudges on front, and slightly worn edges on window. Gray matboard has surface tearing on back. Drawing is Fine. Each matboard is Very Good. Artwork (drawing with matboards) is Near Fine overall. A beautiful artwork by Rolf Kroll done in watercolor and fine black ink. Most of the drawing features pale, diffuse dapples of watercolor in greens, yellows, grays, and light blues. Artwork is accented by fine black ink.
